Reflexology relieves tension, reduces stress, improves circulation and balances the entire body.
This natural healing art can help manage muscular pain, insomnia, stress, anxiety, hormonal and digestive issues among many other common imbalances. It helps to restore and maintain the body’s natural state of equilibrium.
Some of the benefits of reflexology my clients have reported include:
- Increased energy
- Improved digestion and relief from constipation and bloating
- Decreased stress and anxiety
- Decreased PMS symptoms and hormonal balance
- Increased body awareness and more in tune with one’s self
- Better sleep
- Decreased pain
- Decreased foot pain (works great on plantar fasciitis!)
- Prepares pregnant moms for labour (may help induce)
- And many MORE!
The body has this amazing ability to heal itself and this is best achieved during a parasympathetic state of the nervous system aka “Rest and digest”, whereas most people are functioning in the sympathetic state aka “Fight or Flight” state due to high stress lifestyles.

So what exactly is Reflexology and how does it work?
Reflexology quite simply is the study of reflexes. It is an ancient healing art that is based on the principle that there are reflexes on the foot that map to every part, gland and organ of the body. During a treatment, the practitioner applies pressure to each reflex which sends a signal to the brain and body to restore balance in each area.
What to expect:
During an initial reflexology treatment, I take a thorough health history to find out what your goals for treatment are. From this I come up with a treatment plan of key reflexes to target. You can lie on the massage table (following a massage), or in a zero gravity chair fully clothed. During treatment, I ask you to tell me which reflexes are tender-indicating areas of imbalance. I may work on these tender areas or the reflexes I have decided are relevant to your health concerns more to improve results and reset that area of the body.
“Lori introduced me to Reflexology. I had plantar fasciitis and feeling skeptical about anybody touching my sore foot. What an eye opener! What an exceptional experience! I feel blessed to be on her table receiving her genuine energy along with her reflexology wisdom. I loved that she talked me through the entire process explaining what she was doing and what areas of the body she was working on. At the end of the session she revisited the areas that were most sensitive and amazingly the pain diminished from 10 to 1. I know that sounds unbelievable but it’s true. I’d highly recommend a session with Lori. Her loving heart and capable hands do amazing work. I know I will be a regular customer.” ~Lois D.
Q: How often do I need reflexology to see results?
A: For the best results, I recommend 3 treatments once a week initially. From there we assess how your body is responding and make a treatment plan from there.
If you just want to relax and balance your body, you can add on 30-45 minutes of reflexology onto the end of your massage anytime.
I finish your reflexology treatment with a soothing foot massage and incorporate essential oils into my sessions to enhance your experience. I may also refer you to other health care practitioners if necessary to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. Sometimes I make recommendations for dietary or lifestyle changes, or supplementation based on my background knowledge in holistic nutrition.
